CHeKT operates a monitoring platform used by security dealers and their customers. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
What we collect
- Account data
- Names, email addresses, and roles of users who sign into dealer.chekt.com.
- Device telemetry
- Status, signal strength, firmware version, and connection metadata from devices reporting to CHeKT.
- Event data
- Alarms, snapshots, dispatches, and operator actions tied to monitored sites.
- Audit logs
- Every API call, webhook delivery, and operator action with timestamps and IDs.
- Billing data
- Company name, billing contact, and payment method. Card numbers are tokenised by Stripe and never stored by CHeKT.
Why we collect it
We collect data for three purposes:
- Service delivery — running the platform that you and your customers pay for.
- Security and compliance — detecting abuse, supporting audits, meeting our SOC 2 and UL 827 obligations.
- Product improvement — aggregated, de-identified metrics to inform engineering decisions. Never sold or shared.
Who we share data with
We share data with sub-processors strictly necessary to operate the service: our cloud infrastructure provider, payment processor, email delivery, and a small number of monitoring partners. The full list is at chekt.com/subprocessors.
We do not sell data. Ever. We do not share personal data with advertisers, brokers, or any third party not strictly required to run the platform.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR for EU/UK, CCPA for California, etc.) you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email privacy@chekt.com to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.
